Terms
The terms for using Vel Orendis. They are short because the academy asks little of you: no account, no payment, nothing to install.

Using the academy
You may use Vel Orendis to learn, for yourself or with others. Please do not try to disrupt it, overload it, get around its protections, or copy its lessons wholesale to publish elsewhere.
What the lessons are
Lessons explain engineering ideas and simulate simplified systems. They are written with care and checked against their references, but they can contain mistakes and they are not professional advice for any particular system. Test decisions against your own situation before you rely on them.
Your progress
Your progress is stored in your own browser and belongs to you. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data. Nothing you do in a lesson is sent to a server.
Certificates
No certificates are issued. Nothing the academy shows today, including progress, ranks, levels and share cards, is a certificate or a qualification. Certificates are planned with accounts, once the rules that apply to them in Saudi Arabia are confirmed, and they will come with their own terms.
Content and sources
The lessons, simulations, illustrations and design are the work of Vel Orendis. Each lesson cites the references that support it; those works belong to their authors and are used within their licences.
Changes
These terms may change as the academy grows, for example when accounts arrive. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
Questions about these terms are welcome.
